Alaska Veterans Association - Uniting Alaskan Veterans: Healing, Freedom, and Strength Together

The Alaska Veterans Association stands as a beacon of unity, support, and camaraderie for the brave men and women who have selflessly served our nation. As the premier organization for Alaskan veterans, we are dedicated to bringing together this community in the spirit of healing, freedom, and collective strength.

1. Healing Together:

The traumas and challenges faced by veterans during and after their service are unique. The Alaska Veterans Association recognizes this and provides a platform where veterans can find solace, support, and understanding. Through counseling services, peer support groups, and holistic wellness programs, we aid our members in navigating the complexities of post-service life. Our mission is to ensure that no Alaskan veteran feels alone in their healing journey.

2. Embracing Freedom Together:

Having defended the freedoms we cherish, Alaskan veterans deserve to enjoy those very liberties in their civilian lives. The Alaska Veterans Association is committed to advocating for the rights and privileges of its members. We work tirelessly to ensure that veterans receive the recognition, benefits, and respect they are entitled to, helping them transition seamlessly back into society.

3. Building Strength Together:

The strength of the Alaska Veterans Association lies in its unity. By bringing veterans from all walks of life together, we foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect. Through various community programs, events, and initiatives, we aim to harness this collective strength to benefit not only our members but also the greater Alaskan community. Whether it's volunteering for local causes or leading empowerment workshops, our veterans continue to serve as pillars of strength and inspiration.

Join AVA's network of veterans and affiliated groups championing healing and freedom throughout Alaska. Together, our aim is to foster healing and rejuvenation for veterans across the state, liberating them from the scars of military service. We seek to collaborate with veteran-owned businesses and other veteran-focused organizations to bolster and uplift our veterans across Alaska. Our resources, policy initiatives, and efforts are channeled towards programs that align with our core objectives:

• 24-hour crisis hotline

• Ministry counseling to address the traumas of military service

• Regular buddy checks for veterans across the state

• Outreach to military and veteran families

• Guidance directing veterans to appropriate help avenues

• Marriage counseling services.
